Interactive Experience, Crucial FX for Pepsi Co

The project

Pepsi needed a flagship activation for the UEFA Champions League Final in Kiev. The brief was to create something that merged physical football gameplay with digital displays in a way that had never been done before. The result was a fully immersive multiplayer football experience combining custom 3D content with a complex array of sensors and cameras that tracked ball position, player position, passes and shot accuracy in real time.

My role

Working as part of the creative team at Crucial FX, I helped develop the concept and customer journey from the ground up. I was involved in testing the experience ahead of deployment to ensure everything worked under live conditions, and created all animated instructions and graphics used throughout the interactive installation.

The result

Over 1,000 visitors engaged with the activation across the two days building up to the final, making it one of Crucial FX's most engaged activations ever.
