The project

To launch Luther: The Fallen Sun on Netflix, the brief called for something dramatic and impossible to ignore. County Hall on London's Southbank was chosen as the canvas. The building would appear to be on fire, with teasers of Idris Elba cutting through the flames.

My role

Working as senior 3D designer at Pixel Artworks alongside a creative lead, I was responsible for four of the projection scenes including the fire and rain sequences, the most visually defining moments of the entire display.

The result

The activation generated widespread buzz around the Luther launch. Netflix Marketing Manager Steph Ijieh described it as truly one-of-a-kind, calling out Pixel Artworks for bringing a new meaning to outside of the box thinking.
